We are living historic moments, each of us must be clear that this is the case, by means of working harder than ever so we can arrive home as free men. Let us not fool ourselves! In these moments we should mobilize all forces to confront difficulties and continue accomplishing our tasks and conquering our goals, successes and victory. That is what we have to do!

We are here as free people that stood in the trenches fighting terrorism, abandoned in the land of Cedars (Lebanon) for three decades struggling to defend the last Bastion of Freedom and Democracy in the Middle East, long before western governments ended the political honeymoon with rogue nations. Our people besieged by the United Forces of Evil (Syrian, Palestinian, Iranian...etc) waging their terrorist war against our civilian populations. Simply on the 3rd of October they tried to renew their messages of death to our free voices in an attempt to assassinate an MP ( Mr. Maroun Hamadeh) that refused to bow to the occupation, all that while the UN convened to listen to Mr. Annan’s report (UN Secratery Genenral).

It is also about combating the dictatorship mentality a totalitarian hazard the likes of the Baathist regime in Syria, the very one that has been on the US terrorist list for more than two decades, and yet they were able to secure themselves a front seat audience on the UN security council for two years, all that while the Syrian occupation slaughtering our people slowly in occupied Lebanon principally under the watchful eyes of the so called free nations, represented by no other than the UN itself. The Lebanese people nonetheless awaiting the day that the UN Secretary General (Mr. Kofi Annan) will openly condemn the brutal Syrian occupations of Lebanon and treat the Syrian regime the same way he always verbalize the Israeli government in regard to their presence in the West Banks and Gaza strip.

The Baathist regime in Syria managed to silence the free voices in Lebanon as well as their own people for more than three decades, while entertaining western governments entourage in an exchange visits for open dialogue (can you imagine Syria’s dictatorship in an open dialogue!?); all that been done in the name of Liberation of "Arab Land" from Zionism and yet every time a war broke out they managed to lose more land in which, caused the people more oppressions! Yes, the people of the Middle East need more than ever to be liberated from the ruthless tyranny (the Assads dynasty). People around the globe still question our stand against occupation and why we do it? We do it because we are free people, because we defend the interests of the people, the principles of democracy where every person add up, that’s why we do it; we are doing it and will continue to do it!

We are here in the Diaspora watching the political circumstances been debate it on the UN floor! Some thinks this is a great defeat. They are dreaming and we tell them to keep on dreaming! It is simply a bend, nothing more, a bend in the road. The road is long and we shall arrive. We shall triumph. You shall see it. We are continuing our political thrust against the Syrian occupation of Lebanon through the implementation of UN resolution 1559. A celebrated achievement since western democracies enforced upon us the ill fated "Taif" accord. You should know that the fateful "Taif" accord is already behind us, the nightmare we faced alone fro 28 years has reached a world wide epidemic level and the war on terror nowadays is a global war, a number of Arab countries not long ago they supported these terrorist acts in the name of ‘Liberation’ now they’re jumping on the band wagon of the war on terror countries like Saudi Arabia and Egypt.

We clearly say today that the democratic road has begun to develop; it is a road leading to a better future, where our young generation doesn’t need to stand in front of foreign embassies seeking exit visas as a way to ensure brighter futures. As a road of hope for a superior living, that is the circumstance in which we are developing. We should think with great historic sense of our once great leaders (Emir Bechir, Riyad el Solah, Camile Chamoun, Bachir Gemayel) we must stop closing our eyes! Let us look at reality, let us look at the history of Lebanon, once this free nation took pride in its leaders the one didn’t need to stand in line to receive their order of the day of what they must or must not do from an occupation (Syrian) officer.

We must look at the past and learn from our tragedies, but we must focus on the 21st century and understand what is required of us as people of the future, living people I might add not dying of suicide bombs in the name of God! Those who don't understand are going to be blind and the blind don't serve the country, they don't serve Lebanon, they only serve their masters on the other side of the border (Iran and Syria).

We believe the last five decades were a very clear lesson. Think about this. There was a dominator. It was Arabism (according to some!) and where did that bloodsucking domination bring us? To a very deep crisis, as a consequence of which Lebanon was divided. From there come the origins of today's when people like Mr. Walid Jumbulatt publicly declared on the pages of all newspapers and TV stations "that freedom is more important than Arabism" plainly he was telling the Syrian occupation army and it’s master in Syria that their dream of expansionism is no longer valid - Check Mate!? Without a doubt lack of FREEDOM we can be sure there is no future; it is not our question but facts.

Today we are faced with the worst crisis of our nation history; the Syrian occupation strangling our democratic institution to renew terms for un-constitutional presidency twice in less than 10 years. Learning the lesson of past decades, once more the nation is at risk. It can easily be lost, and by interests. What have 14 years of the ill fated "Taif" accord served for? To show before the world and principally before the Lebanese people, that the Lebanese state since the doomed "Taif accord" is a paper castle that is rotten to the core. That has been proven!

Free Lebanon…Lebanon is Freedom
