TRUCE  OR  DARE

Since the signing of the agreement “paper of understanding” between Michele Aoun and Hassan Nassrallah and I am not here to debate what it’s in fact an agreement or an understanding; because the signing parties can give it whatever name they see it fit, to me the issue its not the name or the signing ceremony it is the content of the agreement (understanding) between the two figures in Lebanon, what’s more important and it is in question is what Mr. Aoun continue to do overtime and that’s giving Hezbollah a ‘clean bill of health’  for the group to continue holding on to their (illegal) weapon contrary to Mr. Aoun past position and what he publicly declared before regarding Hezbollah’s weapon.

Since the start of this latest battle (12th July 2006) between the Hizib and the Israeli in Lebanon and Mr. Aoun continues to assert that the Hizib (Hezbollah) never turned his gun internally in a way, and for that reason ‘the General’ Mr. Aoun trying hard to CALM the fears of the Lebanese people (particularly Christians) of the group continuing its hold on their (illegal) weapons in accordance with the constitution of any civilised and democratic government and for that regard the Lebanese one.

What Mr. Aoun fails to remember? That history have crystal-clear memory and especially if this history in question is our present-day time, what I am about to put forward it is not a secret document in any way in fact this info was collect it from a web site and it just happened the web site mentioned is the Tayyar.org Mr. Aoun’s very own official website.

We all agree that Hezbollahh was created and began its military movement after the Israeli invasion in 1982 (according to the Hizib), and for us to witness Hezbollah’s involvement in the Lebanese internal civil war all we have to do is go back and read Lebanese newspaper; this one is the independent newspaper Al Nahar between 1989 – 1990 (chronological date) and in fact its been published as we speak on the Tayyar.org link:

http://www.tayyar.org/files/documents/events.pdf

30-06-1989

Hezbollah declare his absolute allegiance to Ayatoulah Ali Khameini (Iranian figurehead).

(a very good reason for the Lebanese people to fear Hezbollah’s weapon).

02-07-1989

The fighting resume between Amal (Mr. Nabih Berri Group) and Hezbollah.

16-08-1989

The announcement of a new united front in Damascus Syria to fight General Michle Aoun that included the Socialist Progressive Part, the Communist, Amal Movement, Hezbollah, Al Tawheed and Fatah Intifada.

01-09-1989

Hezbollah declare an open war with the Maronites claiming that General Aoun’s war on Syria is a war against Islam.

21-09-1989

Hezbollah announced the refusal of a Maronite president and he refuses to live in humiliation under the pretence of living together with the “Nassara” Christian.

24-12-1989

Renewal of fighting between Amal and Hezbollah.

17-04-1990

The Syrian intervened to stop the fighting between Amal and Hezbollah.

The list goes on and on…

Last but not the least, we all remember what happen after the fall of the General ‘Mr. Aoun’ interim government on the 13th of September 1990 in the Hadath (suburb of Beirut) and who entered the area (Hezbollah) victoriously (claiming their victory prizes) committing their atrocities against the civilian population and who intervened to stop the massacre.

Lest we forget that many civilians lost their lives in captivities or taken hostages (kidnapped) on the hand of the Hizib captured on their mobile road blocks along the roads from South Lebanon leading to Beirut, and they are taken to their dungeons in South Beirut (Dahiyee) where the screams of the captives can only be overcome by the chanting sounds to the Ayatollah’s in the Teheran.

No and a thousand NO’s! We will not accept the empty rhetoric put forward by Mr. Aoun about Hezbollah’s weapon and how it will not be used internally.

We the Lebanese people WE WILL ONLY ACCEPT a one decision, a one gun a one voice united by the Cedars Revolution represented by the million and half people that took to the street of Beirut demanding the end to the Syrian occupation. Today more than ever we stand united shoulder to shoulder demanding the end to Hezbollah’s (weapons) rule of law and ALL foreign intervention in our internal affairs.

Free Lebanon...Lebanon is Freedom
