السفير اللبناني في كندا يتحدى رغبة ذوي الرئيس الحريري ويفتح السفارة لتقبل التعازي

تصرف جديد مشين ارتكبه السفير اللبناني في كندا، السيد ريمون بعقليني اليوم حيث أقام مجلس عزاء في السفارة لتقبل التعازي بالرئيس الحريري وهو بذلك ارتكب ذنبين، ذنب مخالفة رغبة ذوي الرئيس الحريري الذين رفضوا بقوة مشاركة الدولة اللبنانية وممثليها في الجنازة وتقبل التعازي، وذنب إهانة مشاعر أبناء الجالية اللبنانية الكندية حيث أوكل لنفسه وللسفارة صفة ليست لهما.

التصرف المستنكر هذا أغضب أبناء الجالية في أوتاوا فقاموا باعتصام عفوي أمام السفارة شارك فيه عدد كبير من الأفراد والفاعليات والنوادي والتجمعات وأحزاب يتقدمهم ممثلين عن التيار الوطني الحر (روبير حنا)، الإصلاحية الكتائبية (شارل اسطفان)، الحزب التقدمي الاشتراكي (نصير خداج)، القوات اللبنانية، (ميشال عقل)، تجمع طلاب الحريري (زياد حريري)، والنادي اللبناني الكندي (مارون عون). غطت وسائل الإعلام الكندية الاعتصام بشكل لافت وأذيعت من خلال محطات الإذاعة والتلفزة مشاهد من الاعتصام وتصاريح مستنكرة لما جري ويجري في لبنان من قهر واغتيالات وكبت للحريات، هذا ووزع المعتصمون البيان التالي باسم المجموعات اللبنانية الكندية باللغتين العربية والإنكليزية.

تقبل السفارة اللبنانية التعازي إهانة لرغبة عائلة الشهيد الحريري

تستغرب التجمعات والمنظمات اللبنانية الكندية الموقعة على هذا البيان أهمال القيمين على السفارة اللبنانية في كندا رغبة ذوي الراحل الشهيد الرئيس الحريري بعدم مشاركة أهل السلطة في بيروت أو من يمثلهم في مراسيم التشييع وقبول التعازي بفقيدهم، لأنهم، وهم على حق، يُحملون النظام اللبناني وأربابه بعث الشام وأجهزة مخابراتهم مسؤولية الجريمة والتي سبقتها تهديداتهم الوقحة والإجرامية لكل قادة المعارضة. من هنا فإن فتح السفارة اليوم لتقبل التعازي هو أمر مستنكر، معيب ومشين، كان الأجدر ودم الشهيد لم يجف بعد، عدم الإقدام عليه احتراماً لمشاعر أبناء الجالية الذين فجعوا بالجريمة البشعة وهم لا تخفى عليهم هوية مرتكبيها، واحتراماً لرغبة ذوي الفقيد.

*إن المشاركين في الاعتصام اليوم يدعمون نضال المعارضة اللبنانية الوطنية الجامعة التي تعمل لتحرير لبنان من الاحتلال وحكم الأجهزة ويكررون مطالبتهم بالتالي:

*تشكيل لجنة من المحققين الدوليين التابعين للمحاكم الدولية مهمة الإشراف الكامل على التحقيقات الجارية في جريمة اغتيال الرئيس الحريري وانزال اشد العقوبات العادلة بالذين يقفون ورائها من أفراد ورسميين ودول.

*انسحاب فوري لكل القوات السورية من لبنان مع كامل أجهزتها المخابرتية على أن تقام بعد ذلك أفضل العلاقات بين البلدين المبنية على أسس الاحترام المتبادل والتكافؤ.

*استقالة فورية لحكومة الرئيس عمر كرامي وتشكيل حكومة وحدة وطنية تتمثل فيها كل الشرائح اللبنانية دون استثناء، على أن تقوم هذه الحكومة بوضع قانون انتخابي عصري عادل يحترم خصوصية وحقوق الشرائح اللبنانية كافة، ومن ثم يتم إجراء انتخابات نيابية حرة بإشراف عربي وولي وحماية القوى الأمنية اللبنانية الشرعية.

*تجريد كل المليشيات اللبنانية وغير اللبنانية من السلاح وحصره بقوى الشرعية فقط، وبسط سلطة الدولة بواسطة قواها الذاتية على كامل التراب اللبناني، وخصوصاً على الحدود مع إسرائيل.

*تأمين كامل حقوق الانتشار اللبناني في المواطنية، وتحديداً الحق الأهم، وهو حق الاقتراع والترشيح.

*عدم إعطاء أي دور أمني لأي تنظيم أو مجموعة لبنانية وحصرها بالدولة فقط، وفي نفس الوقت عدم إعطاء أي دور سياسي لأي جهاز أمني من أجهزة الدولة.

*الإفراج الفوري عن كل المعتقلين اللبنانيين في لبنان وسوريا، وفي مقدمهم الدكتور سمير جعجع، وعودة كل المبعدين قسراً وخصوصاً الرئيس العماد ميشال عون وأفراد حكومته الانتقالية.

Press Release from Lebanese Canadian organizations
Ottawa – Canada February 17/2005

We, the signatories of this release strongly condemn the unethical and ill mannered approach taken today by the Lebanese embassy in Ottawa in regards to receiving condolences for the murder of former Prime Minister Rafic Hariri.

We have no doubt that the honorable Ambassador, and his entire embassy staffs are fully aware of the victim’s family wish, and request, to completely keep the entire Lebanese official clique away from the funeral procession and the condolences. The victim’s family and the Lebanese opposition have openly held the Beirut regime and its Syrian masters accountable for the hideous crime.

The question is, why for heaven’s sake, are the family wishes and requests being honored in Lebanon, while they are being violated and desecrated by the Lebanese embassy in Canada?

We wonder if the Ambassador has forgotten that the embassy represents the Beirut regime whose officials were banned by the Hariri family from taking any part in the funeral and the condolences. Accordingly, the Embassy action today does not service any national or ethical purpose. On the contrary it shows a blunt disrespect for the victim’s family, and for the intelligence and patriotism of the Lebanese Canadian community.

We strongly denounce the Embassy’s attitude, and support the Lebanese opposition’s peaceful strive for liberating Lebanon from the Syrian occupation, along with its Lebanese puppet regime and their secret intelligence services hegemony, and call for the following:
1- An international Legal body to supervise and fully control all the investigations related to His Excellency P.M. Hariri’s assassination and a just trial for the murderers, whether individuals, public officials, or states.
2- Immediate withdrawal of the Syrian troops and their secret services apparatus after which normal diplomatic relations could take place between the two countries based on equality and mutual respect.
3- Immediate resignation of the Lebanese government, the formation of a national transitional government, the legislation of a modern just electoral law that honors the mosaic of the Lebanese multicultural society and an election under the supervision of international and local observers protected by the Lebanese legitimate armed forces.
4- Disarming all Lebanese and non Lebanese militias and a strict respect for Lebanon's sovereignty, territorial integrity, unity and political independence under the sole and exclusive authority of the Lebanese Government through the Lebanese Army throughout Lebanon.
5- Securing the full citizen legitimate rights for the Lebanese expatriates, especially the right to vote in their places of residence.
6- Giving no security role to any Lebanese public organization or party, and no political role to any government apparatus.
7- Immediate and unconditional release of all Lebanese detainees in Syria and Lebanon,  especially Dr. Samir Geagea, as well as securing a safe and dignified return for all leaders and individuals forced into exile due to the Syrian occupation of Lebanon. including PM, in exile General Michel Aoun and the members of his government
