Free Lebanon! Beautiful twin words. Great symbols of an eternal entity. An inspiration of hope. Nostalgia of a Past. Cherished dream of a better tomorrow. One year ago, Free Lebanon, the sacred words, were born into material reality; an Internet site. The murderers of Lebanon had thought that by extinguishing our voice on Oct 13, 1990, they would bury us forever. But like wild flowers in the prairies, we rise again, and again, with every season, until the end of times. Life is stronger than death. They cannot kill human hope.
Free Lebanon is more than an idea, it is a life force. It is an ancient history, a way of life imprinted in our people and all humans since the dawn of ages. It is an eternal land of freedom, plurality, and peaceful coexistence. Free Lebanon is the crossroad of civilization, a land of prophets, a fomenting ground for creative inspirations and great accomplishment.
Our struggle against the Syrian occupiers shall continue for a thousand years if we must. It is not only the Syrian dictatorship per se that we oppose, but also all that it represents. We shall not rest until the light of freedom and democracy shines in all the dark alleys of the Middle East. Soon, we shall liberate Lebanon, then conquer Syria, not by weapons of war, but with the power of conviction. What we ask for ourselves applies also to our Syrian neighbors; freedom, sovereignty, independence, democracy, human rights, and self-determination.
Free Lebanon is your site, your home; you the Free Human Being. Whatever your nationality, religion, color, or ethnic background. You are one of us because we believe in your humanity. Write to us. Tell us how you feel about Syrian-occupied Lebanon and any other cause of injustice. Help us liberate Lebanon and turn it to a paradise of peace and justice. Let us create the real model of the New World Order. A civilized society based on awareness of the citizens and their humanity.
