15 كانون الثاني ذكرى اغتيال المفكّر والكاتب اللبناني مصطفى جحا

مصطفى جحا كاتب ومفكّر لبناني من مواليد 1942، تعرّض للكثير من المضايقات والملاحقات نتيجة كتاباته ومواقفه أثناء الحرب الأهلية اللبنانية وبعد عذاب شديد لجأ إلى منطقة بدارو في بيروت لتعود المضايقات والملاحقات من جديد.

تم اغتياله في 15 كانون الثاني 1992 بعد أن أوصل أولاده مصطفى، ازدهار وغريد إلى مدرستهم.

الأربعاء 15 كانون الثاني 1992 تم اغتيال مصطفى جحا في بلدة السبتية - قضاء المتن الشمالي بإطلاق النار عليه وهو في سيارته -ب.ام.ف- بيضاء. وذلك في تمام الساعة التاسعة إلا ربع صباحاً.

تم اعتراض سيارته من قبل سيارة يستقلّها 3 مسلحين حيث أرغموه على التوقف وترجّل مسلّحان وتقدما نحوه، الأول من الناحية اليسرى حيث كان الشهيد وراء المقود والثاني من الناحية اليمنى ليشهرا مسدّسين مزوّدين بكواتم للصوت وأطلقا عليه وابلاً من الرصاص فاستشهد داخل سيارته. ليعود المجرمون ويفرّوا في سيارتهم التي كانوا يستقلّونها.

وبعد حضور آمر فصيل الدرك في جديدة المتن الرائد جوزف ديب وقاضي التحقيق في جبل لبنان جورج كرم والطبيب الشرعي، تبيّن أن الشهيد مصطفى جحا قد أصيب بأكثر من عشر رصاصات في رأسه وصدره وذراعيه.

تم نقل الجثة إلى مستشفى البيطار في السبتية وكُلّف الطبيب الشرعي د. سليم نجم بالكشف على جثة الشهيد.

اختفت كتبه ومؤلفاته من الأسواق اللبنانية بعد اغتياله رغم توافرها بأعداد ضخمة في ذلك الوقت

له 24 مؤلفاً أهمها: الخميني يغتال زرادشت، لبنان في ظلال البعث، رسائل من خلف المتراس، أية عروبة أية قضية، رسالتي إلى المسيحيين، لعنة الخليج وغيرها....

اليوم وبعد 17 عاماً على الاغتيال أعيد نشر كتابين من كتب مصطفى جحا وهما: “رسالتي إلى المسيحيين” و “لعنة الخليج”.

رسالتي إلى المسيحيين: كتاب أكاديمي، توثيقي للوجود المسيحي في لبنان والشرق ودور المسيحيين ثقافياً، علمياً، سياسياً واجتماعياً. كتاب غني بالمصادر والمراجع.

لعنة الخليج: كتاب يتناول علاقة العراق والخليج بدول الجوار والعلاقة مع إيران ومع إسرائيل والدور الأميركي في المنطقة. الكتاب غني بالمصادر والمراجع.

Seventeen years after his assassination,

the works of the Lebanese thinker and author Mustapha Geha reappear in print

Mustapha Geha is a Lebanese author and thinker who was born in 1942. He was subjected to a lot of harassment and prosecution because of his writings and his opinions. He was imprisoned by the armed Palestinian organizations which were existent in Lebanon during the Lebanese Civil War. After going through a lot of suffering, he was set free, and he fled to Badaro area in Beirut. The Jaafari (Shiite) court in Lebanon issued a legal advisory opinion of expiating him. He was assassinated on January 15, 1992 after he had dropped his little children Mustapha, Izdihar, and Gharid at school. The assassination took place by shooting him while he was in his car.

Despite being available in huge numbers, his books and works disappeared from the market and the bookshops after his assassination.

He represented a unique phenomenon because of his opinions and works that were critical of what was prevalent in the Shiite and the Islamic environment in Lebanon at that time.

He is the author of 24 works, the most important of which are: The Dilemma of the Mind in Islam, Khomeini assassinates Zarastura, Lebanon in the Shadows of Ba’ath, Letters from Behind the Barricade, What Cause What Arabism, My Message to the Christians, and The Curse of the Gulf among others.

Today, and after 17 years of the assassination, his son, Mustapha Mustapha Geha republishes the intellect and the heritage of this father. He has already republished two of his father’s books: My Message to the Christians and The Curse of the Gulf.

Rich in sources and references, My Message to the Christians is an academic book that documents the Christian existence in Lebanon and the Orient in addition to the the Christians’ cultural, scientific, political, and social role.

The Curse of the Gulf is a book that deals with the relationship of Iraq and the Gulf with the neighboring countries, the relationship with Khomeini Iran, Israel, the active American role as well as with the importance of the American intervention in Desert Shield Operation. It is a book abandunt in references and sources.

Mustapha Geha Jr. aspires to translate his father’s works into English, French and other languages in order to deliver this open-minded message to all countries and cultures.
